Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Tony Bacala reports the arrest of a Gonzales woman for possession of methamphetamine on Wednesday, February 21.  Narcotics detectives received a complaint that Jill Fontaine, 34, of 40435 Crossridge Ave., Gonzales was travelling from LaPlace in a Ford Expedition with approximately one ounce of Methamphetamine to her residence.

Narcotics detectives executed a search w arrant on the vehicle of Fontaine and located a quantity of methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe in her purse.

Fontaine was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where she is awaiting bond.
