AC Beach Patrol Assists Infant Having Medical Emergency
For Immediate Release:
July 4, 2025
On June 23, 2025, members of the Atlantic City Beach Patrol
were alerted that an infant was non-responsive and in distress on the Michigan
Avenue beach.
Lieutenant Thomas Flynn was first on scene and initiated
immediate medical care. He was assisted
by Captain Vince Granese, Lieutenant Kyle Deroo, and Lifeguard Nick
Guidara. Beach patrol personnel rendered
care until the infant could be safely transported to the Boardwalk to an
awaiting ambulance. The infant was taken
to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, to be treated for a non-life-threatening
condition.
The Atlantic City Beach Patrol will be on duty between the
hours of 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. As a reminder, if you cannot see the
lifeguard, the lifeguard cannot see you. Only swim on beaches that have a
lifeguard on duty.
