On June 6, 2025, at approximately 5:18 p.m., the Brooklyn Park Police Department responded to multiple reports of gunshots near the 7600 block of Regent Avenue North. Upon arrival, officers discovered evidence consistent with gunfire. During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect had fled to a nearby residence.

The officers subsequently surrounded the residence, and after a brief standoff, the suspect exited and was taken into custody without incident. A search of the residence yielded a handgun believed to be the firearm used in the shooting.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Due to the incident, a significant police presence was maintained in the area, and travel restrictions were implemented. Based on the evidence collected, it appears that there is only one suspect involved, and no other persons of interest are outstanding.  The incident remains under investigation.
