On May 11, 2025, at approximately 6:28 P.M., Brooklyn Park Police responded to the Autumn Ridge Apartment complex located in the 6300 block of Boone Avenue North for a report of a weapons complaint. The report indicated that a male armed with a handgun was threatening a female in the parking lot.

Upon arrival, officers  determined that the male and female were acquaintances. The male suspect was last seen entering one of the apartment buildings. Officers established a perimeter around the complex and conducted a search for the suspect.

Through further investigation, officers identified an apartment associated with the suspect. They made contact with the occupants, and the suspect exited the unit and was taken into custody without incident. Firearms were recovered from the scene.

The suspect is currently in custody, and the incident remains under investigation.
