Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested
For Immediate Release:

The Atlantic City Police Department arrested a man wanted for
committing two armed robberies at a liquor store.
On April 29, 2025, Detective Aaron Jones, assisted by members
of the United States Marshals Service NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force-
Atlantic City Division, located Robert Arroyo on Weymouth Avenue in Ventnor
City, NJ. Arroyo was taken into custody
without incident.
Arroyo was wanted following investigations into two armed
robberies that occurred at a liquor store in the 3300 block of Atlantic Avenue on
April 4th and 26th. During the robbery,
Arroyo pointed a handgun at the clerk and stole money from the cash
register.
Following Arroyo’s arrest, detectives executed a court
authorized search warrant at a residence on Weymouth Avenue. During the search, detectives recovered the
handgun that was believed to be used during the incidents.
The investigation was led by Detective Zayon Pitts.
ARRESTED: Robert
Arroyo, 39, of Pleasantville, NJ.
CHARGES: Aggravated
assault (four counts), robbery (two counts), unlawful possession of a weapon
(two counts), and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (two counts).
Arroyo was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice
Facility. These charges are merely an
accusation and not proof of guilt. In all criminal cases, a charged defendant
is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
