On March 16, 2025, at approximately 12:32 A.M., Brooklyn Park Police located a stolen vehicle in the 7500 block of Brunswick Ave N and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle fled, prompting officers to initiate a pursuit through the surrounding neighborhoods.

Eventually, officers successfully executed a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) in the 6100 block of 73rd Ave N, bringing the chase to a safe conclusion. The two occupants fled on foot, and officers pursued them.

The driver was ultimately located, arrested, and booked at the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center for auto theft and fleeing police in a motor vehicle. A perimeter was established with assistance from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office to locate the passenger.

The surrounding area was searched using the department's drone and with support from the Minnesota State Patrol Helicopter, but the passenger was not located.
