On February 28, 2025, at approximately 10:27 P.M., Brooklyn Park Police responded to a report of an individual who had been shot in the hand in the 8200 block of Zane Avenue North.

Upon arrival, officers located the juvenile victim, who sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his hand. According to the victim, he was standing on the side of the road when a vehicle stopped, fired a single shot, and struck him in the hand. The suspect vehicle fled the scene before 911 was called.

At this time, no suspects have been located, and the incident remains under investigation.
