The Alaska State Trooper’s Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP) Investigation Unit is actively investigating the March 2020 death of Sue Sue Norton in Kotzebue. MMIP Investigators believe that Sue Sue was murdered and that residents of Kotzebue have firsthand information that they have not shared with law enforcement. Investigators are currently in Kotzebue and are asking anyone with information that has not been reported to law enforcement to contact them at (907) 451-5100.
