CPD ALERT: Second Weekend Robbery Reported
On Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 3:24 p.m., Cambridge
Police responded again to the Elm Street area in the vicinity Cambridgeport
School for a reported armed robbery. The reporting party indicated they
arranged a meeting with an individual online to sell a phone. The individual
produced a handgun on scene and demanded the property before fleeing the area.
No injuries were reported.

Residents are urged to always be aware of their
surroundings and should call 911 immediately if they ever feel
threatened or observe any suspicious activity.

CPD continues to investigate two reported robberies over the weekend. Tonight we arrested and charged two juveniles for an unrelated armed robbery in the area. We are working to determine if the suspects in Sunday’s incident are connected to the reported incidents on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, November 29th, 2024, just before 5:00 p.m.,
Cambridge Police responded to the 0 block of Elm Street for a report of an
armed robbery involving a potential firearm. The reporting party told officers
they had made arrangements online to sell an item. At the meeting location, the
reporting party was approached by an individual who displayed what appeared to
be a firearm in their waistband. The individual then ran off with two other
individuals. No injuries were reported.
