Hit & Run Accident
The Brooklyn Park Police Department is asking for the public's help locating a vehicle that was used in a hit and run accident on 10/02/24. The accident occurred at 8:42AM near the intersection of 63rd Ave & Boone Ave. A 12 year old girl was struck by a passing vehicle while crossing the road to get to her bus stop. The driver of the vehicle did not stop after the collision and fled the scene. The student sustained moderate injuries and was transported to the hospital via ambulance.
The suspect vehicle is a white 2015-2019 Hyundai Sonata passenger car and is missing the passenger side rearview mirror. See the attached photo.
The driver was described as a white female, unknown age. No passengers were seen.
The vehicle came from the west, across 63rd Ave from the Bass Creek Neighborhood (between 169 & Boone Ave) and continued east on 63rd Ave towards Co Rd 81.
