Dog Mauling

**Correction to date and location of this incident. Update is below**
On September 3rd, 2024 at approximately 9:26pm, the Brooklyn Park Police Dept. responded to Huntington Place Apartments, 5800 block of 73rd Ave N for a women yelling for help.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult female suffering from severe injuries, from being mauled by her three Pitbulls. Officers immediately rendered medical aid until she was transported to the hospital where she remains in critical but stable condition. The cause of the attack is still unknown. The dogs belonged to the victim and her boyfriend.
A Huntington Place Security Guard sustained injuries to his left hand when attempting to stop the attack. In the process, the guard injured one of the dogs.
After an exhaustive effort, two dogs were taken into custody. One dog was euthanized on scene due to aggression. The second dog was euthanized later due to the severity of injuries. The third dog is quarantined at an animal shelter.
