TRAFFIC ADVISORY- September 14 and 15

The 2024 USA Triathlon Sprint and Olympic Distance National Championships will take place on Saturday, September 14 and
Sunday, September 15. The Olympic-Distance National Championship features a 1,500-meter swim, 40-kilometer bike and 10-
kilometer run while the Sprint Distance National Championship features a 750-meter swim, 20-kilometer bike and 5-kilometer run. Both races will start at Bader Field and will finish on the Historic Atlantic City Boardwalk in front of Kennedy Plaza.
Number of Participants: Approximately 2,500 on Saturday, 2,500 on Sunday and 400 volunteers per day.
Race Time: Racing begins at 6:30am on both Saturday and Sunday with the swim taking place in the back bay of Bader Field
and the run traveling down Albany Avenue and onto the Boardwalk. Racing on Saturday will conclude by 1:30pm and racing
on Sunday will conclude by 12:30pm. Water restrictions will also be in place on Friday, September 13 from 1:30 – 6pm. For complete information, please visit https://www.usatriathlon.org/get-racing/2024-nationals.
Motorists should expect major delays and detours in the following areas on Saturday:
Atlantic City Expressway exits #2, #4, and #5: CLOSED between 4:30AM and 12:30PM
US 40/US 322/Albany Avenue: expect DELAYS both east and west between 6AM and 1:30PM
Motorists should use the Atlantic City Expressway or Route 30 to enter/exit Atlantic City
