Two Arrested- Two Handguns and Drugs Recovered

For Immediate Release:  August 1, 2024

 

The Atlantic City Police Department concluded a narcotic investigation leading to the arrest of two men.

On July 31, 2024, detectives of the Special Investigations Section conducted two court authorized search warrants on residences in the 1900 block of Caspian Avenue and 500 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard.  The warrants were the result of a two-month investigation into the distribution of narcotics by Leon Henry and Kishon Woodall. 

As a result of the search warrants, Henry and Woodall were arrested.  Detectives recovered two handguns including one stolen from Jacksonville, FL, five grams of cocaine, and paraphernalia used in the distribution of narcotics.  Woodall also had several active warrants for his arrest.

The investigation was led by Detective Eric Evans.

 

ARRESTED:  Leon Henry, 37, of Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Unlawful possession of a weapon (two counts), unlawful possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense (two counts), certain person not to possess a weapon, possession of an extended magazine, possession of a defaced firearm, receiving stolen property, possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and money laundering.



ARRESTED:  Kishon Woodall, 36, of Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone, possession of CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone, and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

Both men were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.  These charges are merely an accusation and not proof of guilt.  In all criminal cases, a charged defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
