On Monday, July 22, 2024, at approximately 1800 hours, the Atlantic City Police Department responded to the 100 Block of South Vermont Avenue in reference to the report of a male being shot.  Officers arrived and located the victim (age 37 from Atlantic City) who was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.  The victim was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for treatment.  This incident is being investigated, anyone with information is asked to contact the Atlantic City Police Department Violent Crimes Unit at (609) 347-5766 or submit a tip anonymously through tip411 (847411).  Begin the text with ACPD.
