On 06/12/2024 at approximately 9:36pm, Officers of the Kokomo Police Department responded to the area of Waugh and State street for a report of a male subject that had been shot.

 When Officers arrived on scene, they located 18 year-old Jordon Roberts with a single gun-shot wound. Roberts was flown in stable condition to Indianapolis for treatment. As a result of the initial investigation, a 14 year-old juvenile male was taken into custody without further incident. The juvenile was taken to the Kinsey Youth Center on preliminary charges of Aggravated Battery, Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon, and Child in Possession of a Firearm.
