On May 9th, 2024, around 6:10 P.M., the Brooklyn Park Police responded to Oxbow Creek Dr N and Quail Ave N for an accident involving a motorcycle and a passenger car. Officers, the Brooklyn Park Fire Department, and North Paramedics arrived and located the driver of the motorcycle in need of immediate medical aid. Officers attempted life-saving measures, but the driver was unable to be revived and passed from injuries sustained from the crash. Officers interviewed witnesses and found that the motorcyclist lost control of his motorcycle and crashed, sliding into the passenger car. Oxbow Creek Dr N was closed to vehicle traffic while the Minnesota State Patrol and Hennepin County Crime Scene Investigators processed the crash scene.
