Three Juveniles Arrested in Stolen Car
For Immediate Release: April 22, 2024
The Atlantic City Police Department
arrested three juveniles in a stolen car with help from the City’s Surveillance
Center and Automated License Plate Readers.
On April 19, 2024, at 4:51 PM,
Officers Riley Flynn and Casey Tomasello located a stolen vehicle entering
Atlantic City on Route 30 that registered on the department’s Automated License
Plate Reader system. The vehicle had
been reported stolen in Neptune, NJ. The
officers attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop, but the driver sped
off. A pursuit was discontinued due to
the safety of the public.
Surveillance Center personnel were
able to quickly locate the vehicle which had crashed at Kentucky and Marmora
Avenues. Officers arrived to find the
stolen vehicle had crashed into a parked vehicle. The officers also saw three males fleeing the
area. With assistance from Officers
Marquez Jones, Julian Monsalve, and William Harned, all three suspects were arrested.
ARRESTED: A 17-year-old male from
Galloway, NJ.
CHARGES: Joyriding, receiving stolen property, and
obstruction of justice.
ARRESTED: A 16-year-old male from Galloway, NJ.
CHARGES: Eluding, joyriding, receiving stolen
property, and obstruction of justice.
The above two juveniles were
remanded to
ARRESTED: A 15-year-old male from Galloway, NJ.
CHARGES: Joyriding, receiving stolen property, and
obstruction of justice.
The above juvenile was released on
a summons into the custody of his parent.
The public is reminded that charges
are mere allegations, and the accused is considered innocent until proven
guilty.
