Two Arrested, Handgun Recovered During Car Stop

The Atlantic City Police Department recovered a handgun and
arrested two men during a motor vehicle stop.
On April 15, 2024, at 8:38 PM, Detective Aaron Jones
conducted a motor vehicle stop in the 1900 block of Atlantic Avenue. As Detective Jones approached to speak with
the driver, Isaiah Butler, he observed a quantity of items used in the
distribution of narcotics in the backseat.
During the investigation, Butler, and his passenger, James Gallaway,
were arrested. A loaded handgun was also
found in bag in the backseat.
ARRESTED: Isaiah
Butler, 23, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Unlawful
possession of a weapon and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
ARRESTED: James
Gallaway, 22, of Millville, NJ.
CHARGES: Unlawful
possession of a weapon and certain person not to possess a weapon.
Both men were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice
Facility. The public is reminded that charges are mere allegations, and
the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
