On April 16, 2024, at 6:45 am, officers of the Brooklyn Park Police Department responded to a report of an individual dressed in camouflage attire, carrying a long gun, and walking through yards in the 10500-block of Noble Cir. N. Upon arrival, officers initiated a search of the area utilizing a police drone.

A person matching the description was located and detained. Subsequent investigation revealed that the individual was participating in an activity known as "senior assassin," which involves high school-aged students in our community engaging in a game where they tag each other using water projectile-firing guns.

We urge all parents and community members to have conversations with their children about the dangers associated with this game. The presence of individuals carrying firearm look-alikes, also known as facsimile firearms, within Brooklyn Park is a crime.
