On 2/22/24 at 11:54 p.m., officers were dispatched to a male with a rifle outside of a home in the 9000 block of Idaho Ave. N Brooklyn Park. As officers arrived in the area, the reporting party advised the suspect was actively firing the rifle. The State Patrol helicopter assisted by monitoring the suspects as officers approached the suspects. Officers took the suspect into custody without further incident. Evidence of gunfire was located on scene. Hennepin County, Minnesota State Patrol, Maple Grove, Champlin, and Osseo Police Department assisted. The incident is under investigation.
