NJDOT Construction on Route 30- Anticipated Dates Are February 26 to March 1

TRAFFIC ADVISORY

On February 21, 2024, the Atlantic City Police Department was advised that the New Jersey Department of Transportation will begin an overnight construction project on the Route 30 draw bridge over Beach Thorofare, located on Route 30 at milepost 56.77, as part of a larger bridge rehabilitation project.

This work will severely impact motorists entering and exiting Route 30.  The work is tentatively scheduled to begin Monday, February 26, 2024, through Friday, March 1, 2024, nightly, 9 PM to 5 AM.  During the work, the bridge will be raised and traffic will be stopped on Route 30 in both directions for 30 minutes every hour.  New Jersey State Police will be onsite during construction to assist with the lane closures, and Variable Message Signs (VMS) boards have been installed at the bridge to alert motorists of the upcoming closures.

Motorists are advised to use the Atlantic City Expressway or Route 40 during the times of construction.
