On 01-04-2024 at 1:23 PM, Brooklyn Park Officers were dispatched to Champlin Park High School located at 6025 109th Ave N, in response to a report of a disturbance that was initially perceived as a possible gunshot. Officers arrived and found that the school had been placed into lockdown. Officers worked closely with staff and quickly determined that the noise was not a shot and was a piece of wood trim around the lockers that became unattached from the wall and fell. The school was cleared by officers as a precaution and no further problems were found. Officers cleared a short time later.
