At 5:10 pm on 11/22/2023 the Brooklyn Park fire department responded to an open-air fire in the curve of north bound 169 to east bound 694. Upon arrival fire crews found a homeless encampment on fire and an adult female burn victim. The fire was put out quickly and North Memorial ambulance was assisted by Brooklyn Park fire in the treatment and transport of the victim. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Brooklyn Park Fire was assisted by Brooklyn Park Police and the MN State Patrol.
