On Wednesday, 07/05/2023, at 00:05am, the fire department responded to the 6300 block of Boone Ave, for a dumpster fire. First-arriving units found a fully involved dumpster on fire, with the flames spreading to the nearby garages, and the call was upgraded to a structure fire. Auto Aid was started from West Metro FD and then they were diverted to their own fire. The fire was brought under control quickly by BPFD crews on scene, and crews spent another hour completing overhaul and assisting with investigation. There were no reported injuries to residents or first responders. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by Brooklyn Park Inspector 1. The incident did not attract media attention.
