Pelham Police Hiring Full-Time Records Clerk
The Town of Pelham Police
Department, a nationally accredited law enforcement agency, has an opening for
a full time Records Clerk. The Records Clerk position performs
secretarial work and administrative support duties in maintaining and tracking
records and procedures essential to department activities and court
proceedings. The Records Clerk works under the general supervision of the
Administrative Operations Commander.
Position
responsibilities:
Must maintain a
well-organized system for record keeping and storage to include police reports,
court records and audio and video recordings. Greeting the public via
phone or in person and completing requests for records related matters. Must
have the ability to view and maintain confidential records and check for
accuracy. Assist Prosecution Division with filing complaints, photo copying for
discovery, court appearance schedules and court dockets. Assisting the
Accreditation Manager with providing proof of policies as well as statistics
and analysis as needed. Assist with preparation of community and
department events.
Qualifications:
Successful applicants must
be well-organized, professional, and possess a positive and friendly
demeanor. Additionally, candidates must possess the skills, knowledge,
and ability to perform the job function of a police records clerk; including
data entry utilizing basic computer skills in Microsoft Office applications to
include Outlook, Word, and Excel. Must have a thorough knowledge of the NH
Right to Know laws regarding RSA 91-A requests. Applicants must possess a high
school diploma or equivalent G.E.D. Specialized training and/or experience in
areas of records management, NIBRS reporting, CALEA accreditation and the
preparation and maintenance of court records and materials as well as the use
of a records management system is preferred. Applicants must become CJIS
certified within 30 days of hire. Applications are available online
