Unsolved Murder Investigation
On November 15, 2006, at approximately 10:11a.m., the Kokomo
Police Department responded to 1426 South Armstrong Street in reference to a
shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located 20-year-old, Chad Rouse, deceased.
Investigators learned that a black male had entered the

succumbed to his injuries.
Chad Rouse was murdered in his home 16 years ago and since
that day in 2006, Kokomo Police Department investigators have followed up on
numerous tips and leads, but this case remains open.
February 8, 2023, would have been Chad’s 37th birthday. The Kokomo Police Department wishes to remind
the public that Chad’s case remains active and if you know something, say
something. The Kokomo Police Department believes this case can be solved and
asks for the community’s continued assistance.
