MEDIA RELEASE
July 27, 2022
On October 27, 2021, at
approximately 8:05 PM, District Five officers responded to a reported shooting in
the 5100 block of Hawaiian Terrace. Upon arrival, responding officers located a
victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Fire personnel responded and determined
the victim to be deceased. The victim was identified as Mohamed Diakite, a male 40 years of age.
On July 27, 2022, the
Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit, with the assistance of the Lockland
Police Department, charged the second assailant, Quae’von
Jones, 20 years of age, with Murder for causing the death of
Mohmed Diakite.
