Stop And Shake is a comprehensive initiative created by Yonkers resident Hector Santiago, in partnership with the Yonkers Police Department, as a solution to build strong relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. The goal is to change the narrative from “Us” and “Them” to “You”, “Me,” and “We”. To be used as a Community call to action, a Social Icebreaker, or a De-escalation tool, Stop And Shake encourages all participants to help break barriers while becoming more civically engaged and unified through a universal expression of respect.
About the venue: Cross County Shopping Center, one of the first open-air shopping centers in the nation, is an iconic Westchester destination featuring over 80 shops and restaurants, including Westchester's ONLY Zara and other favorites such as Michael Kors, Macy's, H&M, Shake Shack, Longhorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden, Starbucks, Pandora, Ulta Beauty and more. Known for festive, seasonal events and family-friendly amenities such as a Luckey Climber children's play area, Cross County also offers free parking year-round.
