On 5/7/22 at 4:10pm, a Brooklyn Park Officer was flagged down by a passerby and advised of a shooting that had just occurred in the 7400 block of Regent Ave N.

Officers arriving at the scene located several spent shell casings, and spoke with several witnesses. Officers learned that a short argument had occurred at a nearby gas station, and that a vehicle had been seen leaving the area while firing a gun. No injured parties were located, and no damage do property was found.

The Brooklyn Park Police Department was assisted by the Hennepin County Sheriff Crime Scene Investigation Unit on this incident. The 7400 block of Regent Ave N was closed for a period of time while the scene was processed.
