CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SECTION

MEDIA RELEASE

April 18, 2022

On June 27, 2021, at approximately 02:28 AM, District Three officers responded to a reported shooting in the 3000 block of Beekman Street. Upon arrival, responding officers located a male victim suffering from three gunshot wounds. Fire personnel responded and transported the victim to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The victim was identified as Patrick Moore, a male 36 years of age.

On December 2, 2021, Mr. Moore succumbed to his injuries.

                                              UPDATE

On April 18, 2022, The Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit, with the assistance of District One officers, arrested Mr. Lavars Carter, a male 22 years of age, on a murder warrant for the death of Mr. Moore.

The investigation by the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit is ongoing. Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call the Homicide Unit at (513) 352-3542.
