Search Warrant Leads to Recovery of Drugs, 6 Charged

On April 7,
2022, six individuals were charged following a search warrant that led to the
recovery of drugs, live marijuana plants, and the discovery of a CDS manufacturing
facility.
At 3:17 PM,
detectives of the Special Investigations Section executed a court approved
search warrant at a residence in the first block of south Texas Avenue. The residence
consisted of two apartments that were both the target of the search warrant. As
detectives entered the kitchen of one of the apartments they observed Daniel
Uribe, Linda Bones, and Anthony Whitaker, actively processing cocaine using
known CDS manufacturing paraphernalia including a ladle that contained cooked
cocaine, spoons with narcotic residue, and scales. Detectives also recovered 53
grams of suspected crack cocaine, 120 buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual
film packets, and items used for the packaging and preparation of illegal
narcotics.
In the other
apartment, detectives came in contact with Jose Santiago Sr., Jose Santiago Jr.,
and Bethany Finch. Inside, detectives located a marijuana growing operation and
recovered nine live marijuana plants, over one ounce of marijuana, 4.5 grams of
suspected crack cocaine packaged for street sale, and 12 wax folds of suspected
heroin. Detectives also recovered items used for the packaging and preparation
of illegal narcotics. The search warrant was a result of a 2 month-long
narcotics investigation led by Detectives Christopher Dodson and James Barrett.
ARRESTED: Daniel Uribe, 35, of Atlantic City.

Anthony Whittaker, 44, of Bridgeton, NJ.
CHARGES:
Maintaining or operating a CDS production facility, possession
of CDS (2 counts), possession with intent to distribute CDS (2 counts),
distribution of CDS within 1000 feet of a school zone, and possession of CDS
paraphernalia.
ARRESTED:
Jose Santiago Jr., 30, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES:
possession of CDS (2 counts), possession with intent to distribute CDS (2
counts), possession of marijuana over 6 ounces, possession with marijuana with
the intent to distribute.
ARRESTED:
Bethany Fitch, 38, of Somers Point, NJ.
CHARGES:
Possession of CDS paraphernalia.
CHARGED:
Jose Santiago Sr., 48, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES:
possession of CDS (2 counts), possession with intent to distribute CDS (2
counts), possession of marijuana over 6 ounces, possession with marijuana with
the intent to distribute.
Uribe,
Bones, and Whittaker were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Santiago
Jr. and Finch were issued summonses and released pending a future court date. Santiago
Sr. was issued a summons pending a future court date. Charges are mere
accusations, and the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
