On March 24th 2022 at approximately 4:16pm, The Dalles Police Department and Mid Columbia Fire and Rescue responded to the scene of a structure fire at the west end of The Dalles High School.  When emergency personnel arrived, they found a gazebo, landscaping bushes and a wooden wall on fire.  The fire was extinguished by the fire department after damaging the gazebo, wall and landscaping. 

A criminal investigation was initiated by the Dalles Police Department.  The investigation was aided by witnesses, Wasco County Central Dispatch, as well as video evidence provided by The Dalles High School.  Three juveniles have been arrested on charges of Arson 2 and Reckless Burning.  All three juveniles were cited and released to the custody of their parents.    The Dalles Police Department appreciates the public’s help in bringing a quick closure to this investigation.  Please direct any questions or further information regarding the investigation to Detective Sergeant Ell at 541-296-2613.
