CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SECTION

MEDIA RELEASE

March 23, 2022

On March 17, 2022, at approximately 12:45 PM, District Two officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3200 block of Geier Drive. Responding officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Cincinnati Fire Department personnel transported the victim to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he died from his injuries. The victim has been identified as Mr. Alias Phillips, a male 24 years of age.

                                         UPDATE

On March 23, 2022, at approximately 0815 hours, the Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit, with the assistance of the Fugitive Apprehension Squad, arrested Mr. Anthony McIntosh, male 22 years of age, on a murder warrant for the death of Mr. Phillips.

The investigation by the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit is ongoing. Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call the Homicide Unit at (513) 352-3542.
