03/03/2022 - The Yonkers Police Department is presently investigating a shooting incident that occurred earlier today inside an apartment located at 284 Riverdale Avenue. A 29-year-old male resident was found deceased with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Detectives are at scene actively developing information in an effort to identify and apprehend the perpetrator(s). At this time investigators believe the victim was targeted and this was not a random event. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification. Additional information may be released as it becomes available.
