Credit card theft suspect arrested

A suspect wanted for making fraudulent purchases with a credit card has been arrested after his photo was shown by the local news media.

Detectives with the Panama City Police Department on Wednesday publicized two separate cases that they were working involving fraudulent credit card usage from December of 2021.

Thanks to the media reports and tips provided by the public, detectives arrested Bryan Lee Fussell, W/M, 41 on Thursday on multiple charges. Fussell is charged with using a credit card that was lost in a local parking lot to make more than $260 in purchases of cigarettes from a convenience store.

Detectives charged Fussell with fraudulent use of a credit card, two counts of criminal use of personal identification information and two counts of dealing in stolen property for providing the stolen cigarettes to others. He was booked into the Bay County Jail.

The Panama City Police Department would like to thank the local media and the public for their assistance in solving this case. News stories by the media led to multiple tips that ultimately led to the arrest in this case.
