Credit card theft suspect arrested
A
suspect wanted for making fraudulent purchases with a credit card has been
arrested after his photo was shown by the local news media.
Detectives
with the Panama City Police Department on Wednesday publicized two separate cases
that they were working involving fraudulent credit card usage from December of
2021.
Thanks
to the media reports and tips provided by the public, detectives arrested Bryan
Lee Fussell, W/M, 41 on Thursday on multiple charges. Fussell is charged with
using a credit card that was lost in a local parking lot to make more than $260
in purchases of cigarettes from a convenience store.
Detectives
charged Fussell with fraudulent use of a credit card, two counts of criminal
use of personal identification information and two counts of dealing in stolen
property for providing the stolen cigarettes to others. He was booked into the
Bay County Jail.
The
Panama City Police Department would like to thank the local media and the
public for their assistance in solving this case. News stories by the media led
to multiple tips that ultimately led to the arrest in this case.
