Two charged in counterfeit case

Two persons were charged with multiple charges in reference to passing counterfeit bills in Panama City.

On Nov. 5th, officers were called to a hotel in the 4400 block of W. 98 in reference to a counterfeit bill. Officers were able to make contact with the suspect, Neal Pollman, W/M, 41, in the parking lot after recognizing him from several other incidents in the city earlier in the week involving counterfeit bills. A female suspect was also identified as Lyndsey Markland, 40.

Pullman was found to be in possession of several items of personal identification belonging to others, one of which was Florida driver’s license was used to book the hotel room. Markland was found to be in possession of several counterfeit bills on her person, one of which had the same serial number for the counterfeit bill Pollman had just attempted to pass. 

A signed search warrant was executed on the hotel room Pollman and Markland had been staying. Inside the room officers located more counterfeit bills, half manufactured counterfeit bills, and the tools used to counterfeit bills. 

Neal Evan Pollman was charged with three counts of uttering a counterfeit bill, possession of counterfeit bills, possession of tools for counterfeiting, counterfeiting a bank bill, possession of personal identification of another person and criminal use of the identification of another person.

Lyndsey Rhea Markland was charged with three counts of principal to uttering a counterfeit bill, principal to possession of counterfeit bills, principal to possession of tools for counterfeiting, principal to counterfeiting a bank bill, principal to possession of personal identification of another person and principal to criminal use of the identification of another person.

They were booked into the Bay County Jail and the investigation is ongoing.
