Five Arrested for Distributing/Possessing Narcotics
For Immediate Release:
November 4, 2021
On November 3, 2021, an early morning investigation
addressing complaints from residents led to the arrest of four adults and a juvenile.
Detectives of the Special Investigations Section conducted a
surveillance operation in the area of South Carolina and Baltic Avenues. The operation stemmed from residents’
complaints of possession and distribution of narcotics in the area. Detectives arrested four males, including one
juvenile, and one woman. Detectives
recovered 365 bags of heroin and more than 10 grams of cocaine from the arrested
individuals.
The investigation was led by Detectives Nicholas Berardis and
Christopher Smith.
ARRESTED: Ibn Demps,
22, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of
CDS, possession with the intent to distribute CDS, and possession with the
intent to distribute CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone.
ARRESTED: Ricky Gilliard,
23, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of
CDS (two counts), possession with the intent to distribute CDS (two counts), and
possession with the intent to distribute CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone
(two counts).
ARRESTED: Mary Inman,
40, of Mays Landing, NJ.
CHARGES: Possession of
CDS.
ARRESTED: DeShawn Neiderman,
28, of Ventnor City, NJ.
CHARGES: Possession of
CDS.
ARRESTED: A 17-year
old male from Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of
CDS, possession with the intent to distribute CDS, and possession with the
intent to distribute CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone.
All of the individuals were released on a summons with a future
court date.
