MEDIA RELEASE
June 15, 2021
On June 8, 2021, at
approximately 5:20 AM, District Five officers responded to a reported shooting
in the 200 block of W. Mitchell Avenue.
Responding officers located a shooting victim who was transported to
University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. The
victim has been identified as Robbie Smythe Jr, a
male 31 years of age.
On June 15, 2021, at approximately 9:15 AM the Cincinnati Police Homicide
Unit, with the assistance of the Fugitive Apprehension Squad, arrested Christopher
Solomon, a male 18 years of age and a male juvenile, 16 years of age (no
photo) for causing the death of Mr. Smythe.
