ACPD Seeking Public's Help in Locating Man Wanted for Shooting/Assault

The Atlantic City Police Department is asking for assistance
from the public in locating a man wanted for shooting a woman while several
children were in the residence.
At 5:24 pm, patrol officers responded to the 100 north block
of North Carolina Avenue in reference to a woman shot. Arriving officers located the woman, 23,
suffering from a gunshot wound. The
woman was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City
Division, for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.
An investigation by detectives of the Violent Crimes Unit
revealed that Tyquan McClarin-Lamar arrived at the residence and engaged in a
fight with a man inside. During the
fight McClarin-Lamar pulled out a handgun and fired one shot which struck the
woman. Both McClarin-Lamar and the other
man fled the residence before the arrival of officers. During the fight and shooting, there were
three small children in the residence.
WANTED: Tyquan
McClarin-Lamar, 25, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Aggravated
assault (four counts), unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon
for an unlawful purpose, certain person not to possess a weapon, and
endangering the welfare of a child (three counts).
