Tip from Citizen Leads to Search Warrant 3 Arrests

On January 21, 2021, a month-long investigation into the
distribution of narcotics resulted in the arrest of three.
An investigation led by Detective Darrin Lorady was initiated
after a concerned citizen reported narcotics distribution from a location on
the beach block of Ocean Avenue.
Detectives of the Special Investigations Section served a search warrant
at the apartment and arrested three men.
During the search, detectives located more than 14 grams of cocaine and items
used to distribute drugs.
The Atlantic City Police Department continues to urge
residents to report criminal activity in their neighborhoods.
ARRESTED: Jaequan
Brown, 18, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of
CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute
CDS within 500 feet of a public zone, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.
ARRESTED: Hakim Clark,
30, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of
CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to
distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public zone, and possession of narcotic
paraphernalia.
ARRESTED: Troy Pratt,
49, of Vineland, NJ.
CHARGES: Possession of
CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to
distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public zone, and possession of narcotic
paraphernalia.
All three were released on a summons with a future court
date. Charges are mere accusations, and
the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
