Investigation Leads to Arrest of Two Men and Recovery of 1,201 Bags of Heroin

On October 13, 2020, two men were arrested and a quantity of
heroin recovered by detectives investigating complaints of drug activity.
At 11:51 am, detectives of the Special Investigations Section
conducted a motor vehicle stop in reference to an active investigation into the
distribution of narcotics in the beach block of St. James Place. Detectives had received complaints that
Robert Taylor was selling drugs on the block.
During the stop, Taylor and Thomas Faulkner were arrested after
detectives located 1,201 bags of heroin in the vehicle.
ARRESTED: Robert
Taylor, 40, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of
a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession with intent to distribute
CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 1,000 feet of a school
zone, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public
zone, and contempt of court.
Taylor was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
ARRESTED: Thomas
Faulkner, 43, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of
a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession with intent to distribute
CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 1,000 feet of a school
zone, and possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public
zone.
Faulkner was released on a summons with a future court
date.
