tip411 Submission Leads to Arrest of Wanted Man, Recovered Handgun

On October
9, 2020, a tip411 submission resulted in the arrest of a wanted man and the recovery
of a handgun.
At 11:16 am,
detectives of the Special Investigations Section arrested Laquay Spence in the
2400 block of Arctic Avenue. Spence had
an active warrant issued by the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office. During a later search of his residence,
detectives located a loaded handgun and narcotic paraphernalia.
The arrest
originated with information received on the department’s tip411 system from a
concerned citizen into the distribution of narcotics by Spence. An investigation was initiated by Detective
Darrin Lorady.
ARRESTED: Laquay Spence, 30, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Certain person not to possess a weapon,
possession of a defaced firearm, possession of hollow-point ammunition, possession
of narcotic paraphernalia, and contempt of court.
Spence was remanded
to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
