Investigation UPDATE- Suspect Arrested in June Shooting
For Immediate Release: July 17, 2020
An investigation by detectives of the Violent Crimes Unit led
to the arrest of a suspect in the shooting of a man in June.
On July 11, 2020, Darren Nedrick was arrested by Detective
Brian Hambrecht and Officer Kerry Dunbar in the 800 block of New Hampshire
Avenue. Nedrick was wanted after an
investigation by detectives led to him being identified and charged in a
shooting that wounded a man.
On June 25 at 4:52 pm, patrol officers responded to the 300
block of Tennessee Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert. Officers received
updated information that the victim, 27, of Atlantic City, had been shot and
transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division for
treatment of his injuries.
ARRESTED: Darren
Nedrick, 23, of Sicklerville, NJ.
CHARGES: Aggravated
assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an
unlawful purpose.
Nedrick was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
