Surveillance Center Personnel Catch Man Breaking into Store
For Immediate Release:
June 9, 2020
On June 9, 2020, a man was arrested after Surveillance Center
personnel observed him using a power drill to commit a burglary.
At 1:47 am, personnel assigned to the Surveillance Center
observed James Sanders attempting to remove the plywood from the front of the
Finish Line store located in the 2000 block of Atlantic Avenue with a power
drill. Officers Marquez Jones and
Diamond Fuentes responded and observed Sanders walking away from the
store. The officers attempted to stop
Sanders who threw the drill and began to run.
The officers quickly apprehended Sanders and he was arrested without
incident.
ARRESTED: James
Sanders, a 30-year-old man from Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Burglary,
possession of burglary tools, and obstruction of justice.
Sanders was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
