Police Ask for Public’s Assistance in Animal Cruelty Case
On 03-04-20 at about 8pm two
individuals were having their evening walk when they walked by a trash bin. The
people heard what they described as a baby crying. They approached and looked
inside. What they saw in amazement was a water soaked cardboard box with eleven
puppies. The people took possession of the box and saw the puppies to be about
two days old with umbilical cords still attached and eyes closed. All puppies
were alive and the people took a hold of them for rescue. They subsequently reported
to the animal cruelty unit.
The area is located at 3501
Morenci street at the Alta Vista Optimist Baseball field. The trash dumpster in
the rear adjacent the railroad tracks. The day the puppies were located a baseball game had been going on at the park. The puppies would have been placed in the dumpster that day before 8pm.
