Yonkers, NY – The Yonkers Police Department is pleased to announce that a scheduled Hiring and Promotion Ceremony will be held tomorrow when six (6) prior-service Probationary Police Officers will be sworn-in as the newest members of the Department, and eleven (11) members will be recognized for promotions and appointments to positions of higher authority and assignments within the Department, including the Field Services Bureau and Investigations Bureau.

Mayor Mike Spano and Police Commissioner John J. Mueller will be present to swear in the honorees. The Probationary Police Officers are scheduled to attend field training within the Department before being assigned to their patrol commands in the near future.

Family & friends of those being hired and members of the public are invited to attend. A press release will be issued after the ceremony with the names of those recognized.
