ACPD Seeking Public's Assistance in Identifying Body of Man Found in Ocean

The Atlantic City Police Department is seeking the public’s
assistance in identifying the body of a man that was located in the ocean on
October 15, 2019.
At 12:27 pm, patrol officers responded to the beach off of
Pacific Avenue for the discovery of a body.
Officers located the body of a man that was stuck in the jetty in the
ocean. The Atlantic City Fire Department
responded to the scene and worked for several hours to remove the man.
The Atlantic City Police Department in cooperation with the
Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office have been actively working to
identify the man, but have been unable to do so. Fingerprint analysis has proven to be
inconclusive. In an effort to obtain a
positive identification so we can notify his loved ones, we are releasing
further information about the man.
-Adult male
-Light skin (unknown race or ethnicity)
-over 40 years of age
-5 feet 3 inches tall
-150 pounds with a lean build
-No teeth (has not had them for a period of time)
-Eight inch vertical scar on stomach
-Wearing a size small Comme Ca ISM Foxes Co. LTD short-sleeve
collared button down shirt with tan vertical pinstripes
This incident is being investigated by detectives of the Special
Victims Unit. Anyone with information
about this incident or the identity of the man is urged to contact the Atlantic
