Man and Woman Arrested in Knife-Point Robbery

On October 7, 2019, a man and woman who robbed a victim at
knife-point were arrested.
At 6:30 am, patrol officers responded to the 1000 block of
Sewell Avenue for a report of a robbery.
Officer Irwin Sanchez located the victim, a 25-year-old man from
Atlantic City. The victim had been
robbed of his belongings by Emmanuel Figueroa and Alyssa Raio. Figueroa held a knife to the victim as Raio
removed his belongings from his pockets.
Officer Sanchez located the suspects at South Carolina and Adriatic
Avenues and arrested them. Figueroa was
found in possession of a knife and two bags of heroin. Both suspects were also found to have active
warrants for their arrest.
ARRESTED: Emmanuel
Figueroa, a 26-year-old man from Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Robbery,
theft, unlawful possession of a weapon, conspiracy, possession of a controlled
dangerous substance, and contempt of court.
ARRESTED: Alyssa Raio,
a 28-year-old woman from Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Robbery,
theft, unlawful possession of a weapon, conspiracy, and contempt of court.
Figueroa and Raio were remanded to the Atlantic County
Justice Facility.
