Man and Woman Arrested After Handgun Located in Their Vehicle

On September 11, 2019, a man and woman were arrested after a
loaded handgun was found inside their vehicle.
At 2:45 pm, Detective Anthony Abrams conducted a motor
vehicle stop in the 800 block of Virginia Avenue. During the stop, the driver, Rashaad Mustafa,
was found to have a suspended driver’s license.
Mustafa and his passenger, Jasmine Smith, were arrested after detectives
located a loaded handgun inside the vehicle.
ARRESTED: Rashaad
Mustafa, a 29-year-old man from Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Unlawful
possession of a weapon, certain person not to possess a weapon, possession of a
high-capacity magazine, and traffic summons.
Mustafa was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
ARRESTED: Jasmine
Smith, a 20-year-old woman from Pleasantville, NJ.
CHARGES: Unlawful
possession of a weapon and possession of a high-capacity magazine.
Smith was recently on a summons with a future court date.
