Man in Violation of Restraining Order Arrested with Handgun
For Immediate Release:
September 3, 2019
On September 2, 2019, a man in violation of a restraining
order was arrested in possession of a handgun.
At 11:03 am, Officers Lisa Sims, Maria Borsani, and Kerry
Dunbar responded to the 1400 block of Adams Court in reference to a man in
violation of a restraining order.
Officers arrived to find Robbie Pettus Jr. outside the
residence of a former girlfriend. Pettus
was in violation of an existing restraining order that was served to him the
night before which prohibited him from being near the residence. Pettus was taken into custody. Officer Dunbar searched Pettus after his
arrest and located a loaded handgun in his pocket.
ARRESTED: Robbie
Pettus Jr., a 33-year-old man from Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Unlawful
possession of a weapon and violation of a restraining order.
Pettus was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
